2003-08-13 - 7:57 p.m. steph and scott are now united as one. my name is scribbled on the paper, a witness to their day of joy. the once wild rebel sister has sewed her oats and now talks of having children. it really was beautiful, desite my stepping on her slip while going down the stairs but not another soul noticed. it's something for us sisters to share and laugh about later. the wedding was a usual california wedding full of all of my sister's circus folk friends, scott's dot com co-workers, and the L.A. friends and actors. the feminist wedding photographer was the best; her hairy pits had the best man a bit grossed out as he nudged me and exclaimed, "check out her pits!". there were stripper friends and cross dressers...all out of costume ofcourse. a pretty ecclectic bunch all in all. as the maid of honor and the last sister left of three, i got my fair share of not so witty comments from the guests..."only one wedding at a time now," said one unknown fellow to matt and i ... and the ever so obvious, "you're the only one left now, bee". when it came time to catch the bouqet, it came straight at me. i not so casually stepped (or dived) out of the way to let the flowers collide with the ground. everyone laughed and said "how typical of bee to do that", but i could see the look of relief on matt's face. it was really lovely despite all imperfections, and hey...i even grew to like my bride's maid dress.
